金秋十月的今天，我们莆田城也披上了节日的盛装，来喜迎祖国生日的到来。
清晨，当太阳冉冉升起的那一刹那，市人大前的广场上，彩旗飞扬，热气球在微风中跳着欢快的舞蹈：时而，前后晃动;时而，左右摆动……广场上聚集了2000多人，在那儿等待那庄严的时刻。伴随着“歌唱祖国”那优美动人的旋律，解放军双手拿着那鲜红的五星红旗，迈着那矫健的步伐向旗杆走出。在庄严的国歌声中，五星红旗冉冉升起。在那庄严的时刻，便使我回想起曾经所学过的课文(开国大典)时毛主席亲手升起第一面五星红旗，以及当时的热闹时的情景。
国庆的到来，打破了莆田城往日的宁静。市区的中间有一条笔直宽敞而又洁净的街道，从东通西，与横贯东西的街——步行街连接成一条直线，成一个“一”字形。街道和公路两旁耸立的楼房——商场、服装店、水果店……商店门口装着霓虹灯：赤、橙、黄、绿、青、蓝、紫……五彩缤纷，令人眼花缭乱，应接不暇。街上和公路上的汽车在奔驰，像长江里的浪花一样。步行街上，人山人海，各色各样的人们来来往往、川流不息……
莆田的图书城也不例外，在那儿有许多少年儿童在家长的带领下静静的端坐在地毯上，聚精会神的观看着图书。那场面，倘若那时的我有照相机的话，一定会将这动人的场面照下来。
亲爱的朋友们，我们是21世纪祖国初升的太阳，祖国大地上一颗耀眼的星辰，是祖国的希望，是民族的骄傲，为了祖国的明天会更好，我们更应该努力奋斗，将来为祖国作出更大的贡献。

国庆节那天，秋高气爽，广场上的每根灯柱上都挂了彩旗，第棵树上都挂了彩灯，把广场装扮得更加绚丽多彩。早上，广场的每个角落都已经充满了欢歌笑语。
在广场的一边，为什么那么热闹?哦，原来这儿有一个大舞台，台上有几个亭亭玉立的演员在载歌载舞呢。每当台上表演完一个节目时，台下的掌声就像流水一样连续不断。
再看看广场的另一边，为什么更热闹?呵，那儿有许多人在活动呢!你瞧，老人们在锻炼身体干得热火朝天的;年轻人们有的在踏表，有的在唱歌，还有的一边散步，一边聊天……可带劲了;孩子们就像入了水的鱼儿似的，开心地玩起了游戏……
我喜欢国庆节，更喜欢国庆节那热闹非凡、生机勃勃的景象!
